MMS
Depending on handset functionality MMS allows you to:

1. Take pictures with your mobile and send the picture.
2. Send pictures taken with your mobile to a PC.
3. Attach pictures, animation or sound.
4. You are not restricted to using just text of up to 160 characters as you would with the SMS service.

SMS Chat Rooms
Got something to chat about? Then visit one of the 30 chat rooms available through your SIMplus MOBILE phone.

SMS chat rooms can be accessed whenever and wherever you have access to the Optus network (including overseas roaming). You can join more than one chat room - Just repeat the procedures for joining a chat room.

Terms and Conditions

1. SMS Chat Rooms are available to SIMplus MOBILE customers with SMS compatible mobile phones.
2. All SMS Chat Room messages are charged on sending, including those messages (a) sent to initially register for the service or to “re-register” following ‘exit’ from the service, (b) not delivered or (c) ignored by the receiving SMS Chat user.
3. SIMplus MOBILE customers will be charged standard SMS rates as per customer rate plans. It may take up to eight days from the original send date for message charges to be applied.
4. SIMplus MOBILE accepts no liability for any loss or damage for customers using the SMS Chat service and bears no responsibility for message content, and recommends customers do not disclose their personal details (including their mobile phone number).

SIMplus MOBILE has now made it even easier for our customers to receive the information they want, when they want it. SIMplus MOBILE customers can now get the latest news, sport results, horoscopes, jokes, weather and more by dialling #121# from their Optus Network compatible mobile digital phone. Sports fans can receive the sports results direct to their mobile phone, so they can follow their teams' scores even if they can't make the match.

#121# is designed for busy customers that want to stay in touch with the latest news. It's a great way to bridge the information gap when you do not have a WAP mobile phone. It's just 25.3c per 160-character message received (inc GST), except for Phone Fun messages such as Ring Tones, Operator Logos and Picture messages, which are charged at $2.95 for each PhoneFun message sent or requested (inc GST). You can always explore the #121# menu free of charge.

Short Message Service
For the cost of a local SMS you can now send an International SMS* to friends and family abroad. International SMS is the quick, cheap and easy way to send text messages (up to 160 characters) to compatible digital handsets on overseas networks. It's the perfect way to bridge the distance and stay in touch.

* Provided the overseas network has an International SMS agreement with Optus. Message charges are incurred
   on sending the message regardless is successfully delivered or not. It may take up to eight days from the original
   send date for the message charges to be applied..

GSM Emergency Service Number
The emergency call service is an operator-assisted service that connects a caller to an emergency service organization – police, fire or ambulance, in a life-threatening or time-critical situation.

If you are using a GSM digital mobile phone, you can be connected to police, fire or ambulance by dialling ‘000’. As GSM is an international standard, the international emergency call number ‘112’ will also connect you to the emergency call service.

WAP
Wap gives you access to internet information via your mobile phone. Catch up on the latest sports, news, weather and stock information plus download games and ringtones.

If you use WAP Plus to access and download services such as MMS Video News or Movies you are charged for the content download as well as the WAP session usage.
